Truth or Lie? While working in a laboratory, Anne created a two-headed fish.
FALSE.
Though so accused by her students, Anne had nothing to do with it. The two-headed salmon was a completely natural phenomenon. Another professor in her department was raising salmon fry – with the intent to return them to Massachusetts rivers – when he plucked this fish from the tank. Because she was teaching developmental biology at the time, it was presented to her as a curiosity her class might like to inspect. The fish lived, swimming in circles, for about five days after discovery.
